Friends of Downsway

Friends of Downsway (FOD) is the group of parents and carers who work with the school to organise fund-raising events. Our aim is to raise money to finance extra projects across the school and to have some fun along the way! We have held many successful fund-raising activities over the years, enhancing the children's school life, whilst raising thousands of pounds at the same time.

If you have a child at the school, then you are automatically a Friend of Downsway.

We are always looking for help, enthusiasm and new ideas and would love to see you at one of our meetings or events - please don't be shy!

FOD 200 Club

We would like to invite all parents/guardians to join the Friends of Downsway 200 Club.

The aim of the 200 club is to raise money for the school.

  • The Club will also benefit members as 50% of the membership takings will be given back to you in a prize draw. This is held once a month starting in October until the end of July in Thursday celebration assemblies, where the children pick out the winners. Two members’ names are picked out, a first and a second, in each draw and in November there will be a special Christmas draw where the prize money will be doubled.
  • The size of the prize depends on the number of members. The more members we have the bigger the amount.  For example, if we have the 200 members, the monthly first prize could be £80.
  • All winnings will be given as a cheque, not cash. Winning members’ names will be posted by the office.
  • The cost of joining the club is only £12 per member, per year, which should be paid by cheque.
  • All friends and family are welcome to join.
  • To join please complete the form below and return it to the school office.
  • N.B.  Much better odds than the lottery!

We would like to thank everybody who has helped support the Friends of Downsway during the last academic year – we couldn’t do it without you

How can I help?
