Ufton Court - Day 2
Day 2 of Ufton Court was much drier - yay!
The first task of the day was to make their own bow and arrows using willow. Year 4 did so well with this task and teamwork was everywhere. Once finished, the children retold the story of Beowulf and took a visit to the farm. We met goats, pigs and sheep and learned their food and care routines. After lunch, we took part in the famous Battle of Reading between Anglo-Saxon and Vikings. For the evening, we enjoyed learning and playing traditional Viking games and dressed up for the Feast.
Despite not staying over, Year 4 made Downsway proud, well done all :D
