Marshmallow Maths

On Friday morning, the children continued their work on place value using marshmallows and cheerios. The children constructed a number and identified the value of the thousands, hundreds, tens and ones. Following on from this, the children then looked at rounding their constructed numbers to the nearest multiple of 10. The lesson ended with an edible treat being consumed which I think made the lesson a little sweeter. Well done Year 4, you earned the treat!
