Mindfulness Workshop

As part of Mental Health Week, we had a visit from Miss Purdy, who came in to help us learn about our brains and what happens in our brain and body when things feel tricky. We took part in lots of practical activities and learnt tools that we can use to help us get ready for learning, prepare for challenges and reset when things feel tough. We also had an assembly where we learnt about the anatomy of the brain (the lizard brain and the superhero brain) and some simple neuroscience around what’s happening in our brains and bodies when we feel anxious, angry and overwhelmed.
