Year 1 enjoyed a magical winter-themed day filled with fun, learning and lots of excitement! The children took part in a lively snowball fight using numbered polystyrene balls, making sure to say the number out loud before throwing- great for practising number recognition!

We shared beautiful winter stories, including Jack Frost and The Wish Tree, which sparked lots of discussion and imagination. The classroom was full of hands-on winter activities, such as exploring a winter topic table, cutting skills by dressing figures in warm winter clothes.

To get our bodies moving, we even had a winter-themed Wake and Shake! The day ended on a musical note as we sang winter songs including A Little Frosty Snowman and On a Cold and Frosty Morning. A wonderful day of seasonal learning that Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed! Miss Gale
