Today in Year 1, we have been exploring the wonderful season of Autumn! 
We took part in lots of autumn-themed learning activities, including exploring our Autumn topic table and enjoying some relaxing Autumn colouring.Throughout the day, we shared beautiful stories such as The Leaf Thief and Sweep, which helped us think about the changes we see around us at this time of year.

In maths, we have been practising our measuring skills by measuring autumnal objects in centimetres- we compared lengths and talked about which items were longer or shorter.

We also went on an exciting Autumn colour hunt on the school field, searching for natural items that matched different autumnal colours. The children loved discovering how the world around us is changing as the seasons turn! Miss Gale
