Today in Year 1 we read Invisible Dogs, a story about Ida who is noisy at home but very quiet at school, until her grandpa cheers her up with a game of invisible shops. What he doesn’t realise is that the game leads to invisible dogs and soon, chaos and fun at school as everyone invents their own invisible pets!

Inspired by the story, we designed and created our own invisible pets and placed them in special boxes of our choice. We had such a fantastic variety- from rabbits to snails to snakes, just to name a few. Many of us then spent the rest of the day making accessories for our pets, including blankets, food, and toys. It was wonderful to see such creativity and imagination shining through!
