Printing skills project
Year 5 spend two busy days this week on a printing skills project. We looked at block printing first and the artist William Morris to start with. We designed shapes and patterns using a a special dice game in our sketch books. We then used this design to make a print shape onto card using string and printed onto coloured paper.
The next day, we looked at the process of lino printing and brainstormed space pictures to link with our topic. We adapted and simplified our designs onto the lino tile and began the process of using the tools! It was quite challenging ( in lots of ways!) but we all had a go and we were very happy with the results. Well done Year 5 for trying a new skill and persevering!
